A Capetonian week! Upstream Fly Shop sent a group of 8 chaps up to see what a BIG river looks like. The first day saw a couple fish on the boat, but a massive Vundu of over 40kg’s stood out. From 20 inch brown in the Cape to a 2 meter Vundu! Of course, Panyame is all about Tigers, and we saw plenty decent specimens.
The bar each evening was full of happy anglers keen to celebrate their 10... 11... 12lb fish. Although it was a fantastic week, the last day was of course, was a pearler. Not a breath of wind, hot and muggy.
The guys really had their hands full, the fish couldn’t get enough of whatever we had to offer. It was a brilliant way to finish off a good week, and we had to tear guys off the water when it came time to pack up.
