Week Eight of the April – June 2026 season at St Brandon’s Atoll was defined by spring tides, bringing stronger water movement and dynamic fishing conditions across the flats. The increased tidal range demanded adaptability from both guides and anglers, but those who embraced the changing conditions were rewarded with another memorable week of world-class fishing.

Bonefishing remained outstanding, with 95 bonefish landed over the course of the week. Once again, the quality of fish stole the show. Henry landed a magnificent 10 lb bonefish, one of the standout catches of the season and a true trophy by any standard. Ethan added an impressive 9 lb fish, while Malcolm rounded out the highlights with a superb 8 lb bonefish. These exceptional catches reinforced St Brandon’s reputation as one of the world’s premier destinations for trophy bonefish.

Permit fishing continued to reward anglers willing to put in the time and effort. Despite the stronger tidal movement, three permit were successfully landed. Preben enjoyed an excellent week, bringing two beautiful fish to hand weighing 7.5 lb and 6 lb, while Henry added another quality 6 lb permit. Each fish reflected the patience, accurate presentations, and persistence required to tempt one of the flats’ most challenging species.

The bluefin trevally added another burst of excitement to the week’s fishing. Although only one bluefin was landed, its explosive take and powerful fight served as a reminder of why this species is such a favourite among anglers visiting the atoll.

From trophy bonefish and rewarding permit encounters to fast-paced trevally action, Week Eight delivered another memorable chapter in an exceptional 2026 season. Week Seven of the 2026 season at St Brandon’s Atoll was defined by neap tides, bringing calmer water movement and ideal conditions for stalking fish across the atoll’s vast network of pristine flats. The slower tidal flow allowed anglers to carefully target cruising fish in a variety of habitats, resulting in another productive and rewarding week.

Bonefishing once again formed the backbone of the action, with an impressive 111 bonefish landed over the course of the week. The quality of fish continued to shine, with Sue, RJ, and Katie each landing superb 8 lb bonefish. These trophy-sized fish provided unforgettable moments and reinforced St Brandon’s reputation as one of the finest bonefish destinations in the world.

While permit fishing proved more technical, anglers who remained patient were rewarded. Two permit were landed during the week, with Dan and Bryon each bringing beautiful 8.5 lb fish to hand. Both captures were the result of careful stalking, accurate presentations, and making the most of limited opportunities—exactly what makes permit such a prized catch.

The week’s biggest adrenaline rush came courtesy of the giant trevally. Although only a single GT was landed, it was one to remember. Chad’s powerful 76 cm giant trevally showcased the explosive takes and relentless power that have made this species one of the most sought-after targets on the flats.

With steady bonefishing, quality permit action, and an exciting GT encounter, Week Seven delivered another memorable chapter in the 2026 season. The favourable neap tide conditions once again highlighted the diversity of St Brandon’s fishery and the incredible sight-fishing opportunities it offers. Week Six of the 2026 season at St Brandon’s Atoll was shaped by spring tides, bringing stronger water movement and exciting opportunities across the flats. The increased tidal flow created dynamic fishing conditions, rewarding anglers who remained adaptable and made the most of every chance.

Bonefishing continued to impress, with 105 bonefish landed during the week. The quality of fish was exceptional, with several trophy specimens brought to hand. Steve Charles enjoyed an outstanding week, landing magnificent 9.5 lb and 9 lb bonefish, while Randy added a superb 8.5 lb fish. These memorable catches once again highlighted why St Brandon’s is regarded as one of the world’s finest destinations for trophy bonefish.

Permit fishing was undoubtedly the standout feature of the week, producing an outstanding 10 permit. Steve Charles landed two exceptional fish weighing 13 lb and 7.5 lb, while Chris enjoyed a remarkable run of success, bringing five permit to hand, the largest tipping the scales at 8.5 lb. Mike also joined the action with a quality 8.5 lb permit, making it one of the most productive permit weeks of the season. The results were a testament to patient stalking, accurate presentations, and making the most of the opportunities created by the larger tides.

The bluefin trevally added another burst of excitement, with two fish landed during the week. The standout belonged to Steve Raymond, whose powerful 65 cm bluefin delivered the blistering runs and aggressive takes that have made this species a favourite among anglers visiting the atoll.

With trophy bonefish, exceptional permit fishing, and exciting trevally action, Week Six proved to be one of the highlights of the season so far. Week Five of the 2026 season at St Brandon’s Atoll was defined by neap tides and persistent winds, creating challenging conditions across the flats. The combination of slower water movement and gusty weather demanded patience, accurate presentations, and a thoughtful approach from both guides and anglers. Those who adapted to the conditions were rewarded with another memorable week of fishing.

Bonefishing was once again the standout, with an impressive 125 bonefish landed during the week. Large numbers of single fish and doubles were seen cruising the pristine flats, providing exciting sight-fishing opportunities throughout each day. Several quality fish in the 8 lb class were brought to hand, reinforcing St Brandon’s reputation as one of the world’s premier destinations for trophy bonefish.

Permit fishing remained technical but rewarding. Four permit were successfully landed, with Chad enjoying an exceptional week by bringing two fish to hand, including a superb 8 lb permit. Randy added a solid 5.5 lb fish, while Chris rounded out the tally with a 4 lb permit. Each fish was the result of careful presentations and well-earned persistence in the demanding neap tide conditions.

The bluefin trevally provided plenty of excitement whenever opportunities arose. Four fish were landed during the week, highlighted by Chad’s impressive 68 cm bluefin and Steve Raymond’s strong 65 cm fish. Their aggressive takes and blistering runs delivered the fast-paced action that makes bluefin such a favourite among visiting anglers.

Despite the testing conditions, Week Five delivered outstanding bonefishing, quality permit action, and memorable trevally encounters. A huge thank-you to all our guests for their determination and enthusiasm. With the season continuing to build momentum, we’re excited to see what the coming weeks have in store.

The fourth week of the 2026 season at St Brandon’s Atoll saw the return of strong spring tides, bringing increased water movement and plenty of activity across the flats. These dynamic conditions created exciting fishing opportunities throughout the week, with anglers needing to stay mobile and adapt as fish pushed onto the flats with the incoming tides.

Bonefishing was once again a major highlight, with an impressive 92 bonefish landed during the week. The combination of moving water and actively feeding fish resulted in consistent action across the atoll. Dave and Marlin both landed superb 9 lb bonefish, standout catches that further demonstrated the remarkable quality of St Brandon’s fishery. Whether targeting singles in skinny water or schools moving across the flats, anglers were rewarded with plenty of memorable encounters.

Permit fishing remained challenging but highly rewarding. While opportunities were fewer than on the neap tides, anglers who remained patient were rewarded. The highlight came from Ned, who landed an excellent 8.5 lb permit after a well-executed presentation and careful approach. As always, success with permit required a combination of persistence, precision, and a little bit of luck.

The bluefin trevally provided bursts of excitement throughout the week. Four fish were landed, with Donaldo’s impressive 72 cm bluefin standing out as the largest. Their aggressive takes and powerful runs delivered plenty of adrenaline and added another dimension to the fishing.

Golden trevally also featured, with two fish landed during the week. These striking fish brought additional variety to an already productive period and are always a welcome sight on the flats.

Overall, Week Four delivered another memorable chapter in the 2026 season. Productive fishing, challenging spring tide conditions, and a variety of quality species combined to create an exciting and rewarding week at one of the world’s premier saltwater fly-fishing destinations.

Week 3 of the 2026 season at St Brandon’s Atoll saw a return to neap tides, bringing calmer water movement and more stable conditions across the flats. These gentler tides demanded a more measured approach, rewarding anglers who combined patience, observation, and precise presentations.

Bonefishing remained productive, with 72 bonefish landed during the week. While the slower tidal movement resulted in fewer opportunities than previous weeks, the quality of fish remained exceptional. Larry led the way with a superb 9.5 lb bonefish, while Dave added another impressive specimen weighing 9 lb. These trophy-sized fish continue to showcase the remarkable quality of St Brandon’s world-renowned bonefish fishery.

Permit fishing provided some of the week’s most memorable moments, with five permit brought to hand. Francesco enjoyed an outstanding week, landing two exceptional fish weighing 13.5 lb and 7 lb respectively. The larger fish was a true trophy and one of the standout catches of the season so far. Andrea added a solid 5 lb permit, while Dave rounded out the tally with a well-earned 6 lb fish. Success on permit during neap tides often comes down to subtle presentations and careful execution, and this week’s results reflected exactly that.

The bluefin trevally added bursts of excitement throughout the week. Four fish were landed, with Jake and Dave each bringing impressive 65 cm bluefin to hand. Their aggressive takes and hard-fighting nature provided a welcome change of pace and ensured there was plenty of action between shots at bonefish and permit.

While the neap tides made for a more technical week on the water, they also delivered some outstanding fish and rewarding moments. Another memorable chapter in the 2026 season, with anglers once again demonstrating the skill and persistence that St Brandon’s so often rewards.
