THE FISHING

Farquhar consistently produces some of the finest saltwater fly-fishing on the planet. The huge variety of species, together with its diverse flats and offshore scenarios make Farquhar a complete saltwater experience for the travelling angler.

Our core flats species include GTs, Bonefish, Bumphead Parrotfish, Moustache Triggerfish, Yellow-Margin Triggerfish and Bluefin Trevally, however many others do call Farquhar home and are possible during a trip. These include Barracuda, Indo-Pacific Permit, Golden Trevally, Napoleon Wrasse, Bohar Snapper and many more.

Farquhar also provides some truly exceptional offshore fly-fishing. Milkfish, Sailfish, Barracuda, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna and a host of others prowl the bluewater just off the flats, providing even further species to our guests at no extra cost.

So whether you’re looking to cast your fly at tailing Bumphead Parrotfish, that trophy GT you have been dreaming about or you’re looking for a complete saltwater experience, Farquhar Atoll is a great choice!

THE ACCOMMODATION

We cater for 10 anglers per week. Guests are accommodated in three comfortable duplex style chalets, each chalet containing two separate bedrooms. Each bedroom is fully air-conditioned, has two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. Rooms are equipped with 24 hour 220 volt electricity and have a constant supply of hot water. There is full housekeeping, with laundry done every third day. There is a separate communal air-conditioned dining, lounge and bar area where guests enjoy their meals and relax. Meals prepared by the chef are a mix of Creole and international style dishes. An outside undercover dining area on the waters edge forms an idyllic backdrop for meals when the weather allows.

YOUR GUIDES

There are five world-class fly fishing guides based on Farquhar, ensuring a two guest to one guide ratio. These five young men are very personable, hugely passionate about the atoll and most importantly, are highly motivated towards our guests needs. Each of them has a skipper’s licence, a marine safety course and basic first aid training. They are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in respect to all of Farquhar’s species and the techniques needed to provide success. Their passion and dedication is infectious and rest assured they will go the extra mile in search of your fish of a lifetime.
